Why don’t I just clean the eaves troughs myself?

Ice dams are caused by poor insulation and ventilation. So no, Landmark Gutter Protection will not prevent ice dams, nor will it cause them. It can, however, help reduce the amount of ice build-up in your gutters that can cause seams to split, hangers to loosen, and troughs to pull off the house.

Do I need to replace my existing eaves troughs to install the Landmark Gutter Protection system?
No you do not. Landmark Gutter Protection is installed over your existing gutter, making the transition smooth and efficient. There is no need to replace good working troughs if it is not necessary.

Can birds or other small animals get into my eaves trough?
No, this can’t happen. Due to our customized system in which brackets are placed every two feet and caps placed at the ends, no birds or other small animals will enter or nest in your gutter.

What if my roof doesn’t have conventional shingles?
Landmark Gutter Protection is easily customized to fit any home. Our Installation Technicians will advise you on the best installation procedure for your home.

Can the Landmark Gutter Protection system handle heavy snow loads?
The Landmark Gutter Protection system is designed for the Canadian climate and that includes snow. It is made of heavy-duty aluminium and can handle a heavy snow load.

How long will it take to install this system?
In most cases it takes no more than one day to fully install the Landmark Gutter Protection system. Sometimes it might only take a half-day. It largely depends on the size of the home.
